Premiere League Update - Walsall F.C

While Walsall is 6 point clear of relegation zone, we've currently lost 5 games in a row and morals has fallen from the good feeling at the beginning of the year. But even worse, Jesus Noriega, our key player who got injured early on and was scheduled to return soon, recently got re-injured and would missed 2-3 weeks.

The Scottish on-loan from Sporting CP has been one of the top performer for Walsall so far with a 6.95 ratings, 3 goals and 4 assist.

As of November 10th 2018, having played 10 Premiere League matches, my Walsall squad has already accumulated 12 points on 4 wins and 6 defeats. We are currently occupying the 14th seed.

Jesus Noriega leads the team with 3 PL goals on 10 appearances with a 6.94 ratings. Jesus has 2 more goals on cup competition for a grand total of 5 goals in 12 appearances.

Jesus Noriega first Premiere League goal came against Tottenham Hotspur where Walsall defeated them 1-0.  The 19 year old American currently has 3 Premiere League goals.

Walsall FC New Signing

Made a few more signings to strengthened my squad since I felt it was probably not up to par. The new arrivals aren't world-beaters but they should give me options on top of the players who helped me win the Championship.

Ante Rebic

Rebic is expected to be an option as a striker and left-sided inside winger. Will compete with Andreas Markris for this spot.

Salvador Ichazo

Needed a proper back-up goalkeeper in case my #1 GK Neil Etheridge gets hurt.

Jonathan Andrews

Andrews is a signee for the future and I'm not expected to use him much this year. Will probably see him in Cup games. Has  star potential and he cost me $195k up front which could go up to $275k pound

Pedrinho

20 year old Portuguese will also be competing for playing time and give me extra option on the left and right side of the attack.

World Cup 2018 Semi-Final: England Defeats U.S

In a very close game that was dominated possession-wize by the U.S, the English managed to defeat the Americans 1 to 0. Noriega had a good game as for passing and creating chances but could not score against the tough English defense. Jesus Noriega finished with a 6.8 ratings. Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur was the player of the match.

Overall. for this World Cup, Jesus Noriega posted a 7.53ratings on 6 World Cup appearances, 2 goals and 2 assist. Jesus also recorded 2 man of the match award.

Now, Jesus Noriega will be expected to go rejoin his club Walsall FC who won promotion into the Premiere League and possibly help them not get relegated. Before that, he'll probably need a 2 week rest/vacation from football activity since he's been playing all-year.

Jesus Noriega assisted the only goal of the match which was scored by Christian Pulistic, Tottenham's winger. Jesus ended up with the best rating at 7.5 alongside Bill Hamid, who got the Man-Of-The-Match.

Ronaldo Vieira Signed for $7.25M From Leeds United

Needing to strengthen my midfield for the new premiere league challenge, I've decided to bring in 19 year old hot prospect Vieara for 7.25 Million sterling.

Vieara recorded a 7.02 rating on 31 championship appearances which is great for a 19 year old. My hope is he can keep on improving and get better as a player.

James Tarkowski

My next signing was ball-playing central back Tarkowski for $220k from Burley. Needed another good CB who's good with his feet. James wasn't good during his last year with Burley, but his attributes does look good and he was cheap, so I decided to take a chance on him.

James McCarthy

James will be joining Walsall permanently after spending 2 years on loan here. Was able to sign him off the hand of Southampton for 1.2M British Pound.
